Texture Optimizer

Shrink textures in YTD, YDR, YFT and YDD. 10 credits per export.

Why?

Oversized textures are the most common cause of texture loss and oversized asset warnings on FiveM servers. The optimizer resizes textures, builds clean mipmaps and converts uncompressed textures to DXT/BC formats – no OpenIV needed.

Files

Upload .ytd, .ydr, .yft, .ydd one by one, several at once or as a .zip. Up to 60 files per run.

How it works

  1. Drop your files – every texture is listed with preview, size, format and memory use.
  2. Pick the max size for regular textures and normal maps. You can override single textures in the list.
  3. The savings are calculated exactly up front. Export returns every changed file with the same name.

Tips

  • 1024 px is enough for almost every vehicle and prop texture. 2048 px only pays off on very large surfaces.
  • 720 px is the middle ground between 512 and 1024. Since 720 is not a power of two, the texture gets fewer mipmap levels – usually irrelevant for props and clothing.
  • Normal maps barely show the difference and handle one step less.
  • The output replaces the originals directly – keep your originals as a backup.
